Along the way, Rufus repeatedly quotes the Bible, intimidates ten-year-old preacher’s son with hell, and contemptuously calls his mentor the self-proclaimed Jesus. Rufus's controversy with his mentor tragically ends up at the mountain observatory, only to be repeated decades later.
