The heroes of the Country U sketch are scattered all over the country. They don't know each other, but a good sense of humor unites all of them. Thanks to the ability to laugh at themselves and the situation, the residents of Country U easily get out of the trouble they are constantly getting into.

On 24 February 2022, the family of Oleksii Chubun, the director of the film Family History, finds themselves in basements, hiding from bombs, and Oleksii himself begins to look for opportunities to take his mother, sister and two nieces to the Czech Republic.

The film's protagonists settle in Prague and begin to build a life in a foreign country. Upon arriving in Prague, the women learn Czech. Svitlana works as a cashier in a coffee shop, her daughters go to school, and the eldest of them, Masha, is looking for opportunities to become an actress. Lyudmila works as a cleaner several times a week. As soon as she gets used to the new reality, Svetlana gathers her daughters to go to Ukraine to celebrate the New Year. Her mother, Liudmyla, resists the woman's wish, trying to keep her daughter and granddaughters from returning to a country where a full-scale war has been going on for almost a year.
