The project reveals the sensational details of the lives of prominent Ukrainians who have influenced the development not only of Ukraine but also of the largest European countries.

Each of the eight series is dedicated to a separate hero.

• Bogdan Khmelnitsky

Mythical stories around the life of Bohdan Khmelnytsky begin to unravel. You will see the city where Bohdan Khmelnytsky could actually have been born, and you will also learn what prompted the hetman to lead the Cossack uprising. Today, new facts are emerging that allow us to look at the figure of the Ukrainian hetman in a completely different way. What did they want to hide in the history of this man and who was Bohdan Khmelnytsky really?

• Anna Kyivska

The story of Anna Kyivska, a woman who challenged French patriarchal society, a Ukrainian woman who was one of the most influential women in Europe ten centuries ago.

In 1051, King Henry I of France ordered his guards to meet a wagon with a woman who would become his wife on the border with the kingdom. In Paris, Yaroslav's daughter was miraculously awaited, because she was the one who was to save the royal dynasty from extinction. Was the Ukrainian able to save all of France?

• Roxolana

A story shrouded in myths and legends about Roxolana's life. What did the outstanding Ukrainian woman really look like and do the portraits we know coincide with reality? What is the path taken by Roxolana, the lawful wife of the ruler of the Ottoman Empire? How did a simple Ukrainian woman win the heart of the most influential person in the world, and with it his state? Did Roxolana use sorcery? What happened a few minutes before the first meeting between Roxolana and Sultan Suleiman?

• Simon Petliura

The authors of the project gained access to unique materials related to the destruction of Simon Petliura in Paris. He was shot while leaving a restaurant in the center of the French capital in 1926. For almost 100 years, the archives of the Paris police prefecture kept a thick folder with eyewitness accounts and other clues that shed light on who was actually behind the murder of a prominent Ukrainian.

• Mykhailo Hrushevsky

New facts from the biography of Mykhailo Hrushevsky call into question the natural death of a prominent historian. In the declassified archives of special services Akim Galimov and the team "Ukraine. The Return of Its History ”found unknown facts that cast a shadow over the management of a sanatorium in Kislovodsk, Russia, where Hrushevsky died. The investigation of this case led to unexpected and sensational conclusions, which also explain the mysterious disappearance of the historian's own daughter after his death.

• Ivan Mazepa

For the first time in the history of Ukrainian documentary, archaeologists have done what they do not usually do on camera. New information about the possible hiding of Ivan Mazepa's treasures intrigued researchers so much that during the filming they drilled the ceiling of a mysterious dungeon on the territory of the destroyed palace of the hetman.

In this investigation, Akim Galimov and the team "Ukraine. The Return of Its History ”proved that Ivan Mazepa’s overcast wealth and treasures are not a myth but a reality.

• Andriy Sheptytsky

Andrei Sheptytsky is the Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, a man who was first visited by the Russian military when they occupied Lviv during the First World War. The metropolitan was watched by dozens of secret service agents. In this investigation, the authors of the project found out the reason for such meticulous attention to the priest. A secret document was kept in Andrei Sheptytsky's residence, which could radically change the history of Ukraine and the whole of Eastern Europe.

• Danylo Halytsky

The era of Danylo Halytsky is one of the most mysterious periods in Ukrainian history. Scientists still cannot find the golden crown of Danylo Halytsky. Disappeared from all maps and the royal castle of Daniel, which withstood two Mongol invasions. Today only a hill remains in its place. In this investigation, Akim Galimov and scientists learned what the castle looked like and for the first time in 700 years carried out its graphic reconstruction.

Adaptation of the Australian series "Secrets & Lies".

During a morning run, Anton Gavrilov finds five-year-old Tom, a boy who lived in the house opposite, killed. An investigation begins, led by Koretsky, a strange and repulsive man, convinced that Anton is hiding something. The suspect is forced to start his own investigation, as a result of which it turns out that his neighbors and even the closest people have their own unattractive, and even frightening, secrets.

While Anton, based on the logic of his assumptions, suspects one or the other and tries to do something - his own life is destroyed. However, he manages to find out the startling and unexpected truth.
