The second half of the 1980s. Zhenya graduates from music school, the girl has a beautiful voice. At the birthday of her friend, she meets Fyodor, a graduate geologist. But Fedor is sent to BAM for distribution. Zhenya looks forward to receiving letters from him. She is in love.

There is no news from Fedor. Taking into account that they have forgotten her, Zhenya accepts the courtship of Alexei – a guitarist from a musical group. And marries him. They have a son Maxim.
