Endless Ukrainian forests have long hidden many mysteries and mysteries. Unusual mythical creatures live here among the centuries-old trees, and among them are the Mohawk, the Soul and the newly-chosen Forest Shore. Her main vocation is to protect the Forest and its main treasure – the Source of Life – from any encroachment on humans.

Lukash is an ordinary country guy who loves music and puts all his talent into playing on a snot. Lukash dreams of becoming a musician and going to the city, but he is very afraid to play in the presence of other people and cannot overcome his fear. That is exactly what makes his music incredible: Mavka and Lukash meet and fall in love with each other.
Their union is almost impossible without it, but the obstacles are compounded when a greedy and almighty Kilina appears in the village. It promises people to rebuild an old sawmill not far from the Forest, which is only a cover for its true purpose – to get to the Source of Life.

Kylina knows that the key to him is Mavka, in whose heart love has already settled, making her vulnerable. In order to use Mawka, Kylina chooses Lucas and her peasants, whose souls are filled with anger and fear.

Hrytsko Chubai is a genius of Ukrainian poetry, a connoisseur of literature, art and music and the brightest representative of Lviv underground culture of late 60s early 70s. The documentary "Chubai. Speaking again" is made in the innovative genre of a theatre production. The action takes place in Hrytsko's basement workshop. The journey through the film is leads by the Ukrainian poet Serhiy Zhadan and features Hrytsko's family and friends. They share their reminisces, tell stories and read his poetry. Video projection onto the basement walls expands boundaries and brings the audience into the time and space portrayed.

At the heart of the plot is a relationship between a maid Vlada Koza and Fredo Lagana – a bigwig in Cosa Nostra, an Italian mafia clan. Fredo has been recently released from prison and is having a hard time navigating the modern world around. He lost control over his business, and his family has nothing but trouble. Vlada becomes a secret Ukrainian ingredient in Fredo’s success, for both getting back the control over his organization and fixing his relationships with his kids.

Don Fredo’s eldest son – brutish Luca, dreams to continue in his father’s line of work, but he lacks a knack for it. The youngest son Gianni, conversely, does not want to get involved in crime, and no wonder – he has got a software engineering degree in the US. His daughter Francesca is stubborn, rebellious, and has a modern outlook on life. She tries to ignore the familial history, which irritates her father greatly. The entire Lagana family lost touch with each other, and Vlada is going to help the whole family to settle disputes and understand each other once again.
