On 24 February 2022, the family of Oleksii Chubun, the director of the film Family History, finds themselves in basements, hiding from bombs, and Oleksii himself begins to look for opportunities to take his mother, sister and two nieces to the Czech Republic.

The film's protagonists settle in Prague and begin to build a life in a foreign country. Upon arriving in Prague, the women learn Czech. Svitlana works as a cashier in a coffee shop, her daughters go to school, and the eldest of them, Masha, is looking for opportunities to become an actress. Lyudmila works as a cleaner several times a week. As soon as she gets used to the new reality, Svetlana gathers her daughters to go to Ukraine to celebrate the New Year. Her mother, Liudmyla, resists the woman's wish, trying to keep her daughter and granddaughters from returning to a country where a full-scale war has been going on for almost a year.

The plot centres on Sirko, a dog who proves to be a clever and quick-witted helper. Together with a pack of wolves, he helps the family cope with the difficulties that arise one after another. Cunning plans, unexpected alliances and comical situations constantly change the course of events. Each new episode tests the characters' ability to negotiate, trust, and support their loved ones in difficult times.
