Two friends, friends since childhood, Mykola and Peter fell in love with one girl - Anna. However, she chooses Peter, and Nicholas is forced to accept it. To make money, friends are hired on a fishing boat. Peter dies in the sea. Nicholas returns home and becomes a support for the young widow and the young son of a dead friend.
Years pass - time heals… Anna marries Mykola. The new family lives peacefully and happily. A little later, Anna and Nicholas meet another happy couple: a girl Irene and her husband, in which Anna and Nicholas immediately recognize Peter. To their surprise, they realize that Peter does not recognize them: he does not remember the past, and the chance of remembering is zero… Bound by love, but separated by memory.

12. Land of Heroes is a documentary film about twelve soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who were awarded the highest state award, the Golden Star. This is the first film in a large series about real heroes of Ukraine.
The film was produced by Kalina Film with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Each of the twelve stories has the potential to become a separate feature film.
The film's messages: for young people – the hero is close by, and he is real; for Ukrainians abroad – this is the voice of Ukraine; for the world – freedom has a name – Ukrainian soldier.
