A family of 40-year-old Victor and Pauline Anokhin has a long-awaited daughter. By coincidence, in a nearby ward, the young mother abandons her newborn baby girl, and compassionate Pauline persuades her husband to pick up the baby for himself. The man agrees, but on the day of his discharge a tragedy occurs and he dies. Pauline remains one with two daughters in her arms.

Time passes. Lisa and Vick consider themselves sisters. One day, Lisa learns that Vika was adopted and accuses her mother of having a happy and happy childhood through Lisa's sister. After the death of her mother, Lisa lies to everyone who adopts her, and intends to seek her true parents.

Vasily goes to earn money abroad. He will bring home a considerable amount of money and hopes to be able to spend it on supporting his family. But will anyone spend this money on? The sick mother seems to have little time. And the hopes of the beloved girl – even less.
