A modern version of the classic work by the Kaydashev Family by Ivan Nechuy-Levitsky.

The events unfold chronologically from 2005 to 2014, for 9 years after the restoration of Ukraine's independence in 1991.

The story begins with Lavrin, Kaidash's youngest son, returning from the army. He missed the club, the dancing and the girls, so he walks desperately. And Karpo has already laid eyes on Motrya, the girl with the most punchy character in Semigor. Soon the boy managed to persuade her to marry. From now on, the troubles for the Kaydash family began. Two housewives in the house argue, swear and fight. No one can concede and remain silent, no one can forgive. Unintentionally involved men also cease to trust each other ...

There was a terrible tragedy in Pauline's life: she lost loved ones. Her husband and five-year-old son Misha are killed in a car accident. The woman herself survives miraculously, but is she now in need of this life when there are no loved ones near her. Pauline is on the verge of suicide.
Sister Vera helps her escape from the horrific depression of the heroine; she advises to have another child. Pauline only has to find a decent father for the future baby. Arseny is the most worthy candidate. Pregnant, Pauline immediately divorces her husband.

A few years later, fate again confuses Pauline and Arseny. They are employees of one company. Overcoming insults and misunderstandings, young people decide to live together. Pauline begins to prepare for the wedding. However, on the eve of this happy event, she learns a bit about her fiance's past.
