The main doctor of the maternity hospital Tatiana Skvortsova devotes herself completely to work, but her life is destroyed when the wife of an influential businessman with a severe heart disease decides to give birth not to a maternity hospital, but to a witch doctor. It is a tragedy – a dying woman dies, but Tatiana saves her baby. The death of the businessman's wife is blamed for Tatiana. She is dismissed from work at the same time, betraying her husband, but in the struggle for the honest name of Tatiana suddenly finds love all her life.

Svetlana is an actress by vocation and a realtor by profession. She always dreamed of a stage, but went the other way, hoping that one day she would be able to realize her full potential.

Over the years, doing what she needs to do, not what she wants, she has lost faith in herself and her abilities, but a chance meeting with a talented actor who has lost his former glory helps to regain strength and find the joy of life again. The sudden appearance of a great actor and just an amazing person makes you think about a lot and start to appreciate the time she spends on something that does not bring any pleasure. As soon as a woman allows herself to think more broadly, everything around her begins to change. She becomes a different person and steps towards the dream, not paying attention to the villains and stereotyped thinking of ordinary people who are immersed in the routine and grayness of life.

The Holodomor was a mass-scale, man-made famine organised in the Ukrainian SSR in 1932–1933 by the leadership of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) and the government of the USSR. Ukraine was the hardest hit, with millions of people dying of starvation. This famine has been recognised as genocide against the Ukrainian people. According to demographic estimates, the total number of victims of the Holodomor in the Ukrainian SSR is 3–7 million people. According to estimates by the M. Ptukha Institute of Demography and Social Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ukraine’s demographic losses as a result of the Holodomor in 1932–1933 amount to approximately 4.5 million people, including 3.9 million due to excess mortality and a further 600,000 due to a birth deficit.
