O. Dovzhenko, academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine Mykola Mashchenko passed away. But he left behind a lot of creative work - plays, books, movies. During his life, Mykola Mashchenko was awarded a good dozen high awards for the enrichment of the national cultural and artistic heritage. Among them is the Taras Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine for the film "Ovid" in 1982.

The film takes us through thorny days of the greatest minds of all time, the innumerable twists and turns on the path to enlightenment and fame. The story, told by Leonardo’s friend will uplift the veil to reveal da Vinci’s life in Florence and Milan at the time of political instability, his numerous scientific and artistic escapades as well as the creation of masterpieces, which stir awe and reverence in the hearts of men up to this day. The feature will lead the viewer to the Master’s final days when his agonizing solitude will be his only faithful companion – the price da Vinci had to pay to fulfill an almost god-like role in the fate of humanity.

A group of criminals hijacked the plane. The crew was killed, the pilot's place was taken by one of the bandits. The plane is mined. The spectacular blonde, who does not look like a criminal at all, commands admiration. A headquarters for negotiations with the invaders was organized at the capital's airport, but suddenly the plane disappeared from radars.
Events unfold unpredictably: the bandits drop some cargo from the plane and leave the plane behind.
Passengers of the unfortunate flight manage to make an emergency landing in a mountain gorge, but they are again held hostage - this time by special services. Several passengers manage to continue the search for bandits themselves ...

The Holodomor was a mass-scale, man-made famine organised in the Ukrainian SSR in 1932–1933 by the leadership of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) and the government of the USSR. Ukraine was the hardest hit, with millions of people dying of starvation. This famine has been recognised as genocide against the Ukrainian people. According to demographic estimates, the total number of victims of the Holodomor in the Ukrainian SSR is 3–7 million people. According to estimates by the M. Ptukha Institute of Demography and Social Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ukraine’s demographic losses as a result of the Holodomor in 1932–1933 amount to approximately 4.5 million people, including 3.9 million due to excess mortality and a further 600,000 due to a birth deficit.
