Often, people work at a job that is not their vocation or the job of their dreams. So it happened with Karina from the series — a seamstress who always dreamed of dancing and the stage, although she lived in a small mining town.
Even her own family does not support her in her desire to achieve her dream, and the dance group she led for the children is going to close. However, fate gives the heroine a chance - a famous dance troupe comes to town, and Karina, above all, dreams of becoming one of them. There are many obstacles in her way, but the girl hopes that she will succeed.

Shot in a steppe landscape in southern Ukraine, the film follows the process of transformation of an abandoned Soviet apartment building. Built according to a standardized Soviet master plan, its construction is slowly being dismantled by private individuals, who are creating new architectural units from the removed modules. Thus, traces of private biographies and remnants of past ideologies, inscribed in physical remnants, continue to circulate in the community and find ways to new constructions.
The film considers this process of appropriation and use as a form of material connection with the past, as well as an act of self-affirmation. Given, on the one hand, the Soviet infrastructure and belief systems that continue to influence daily life; on the other hand, to the mass political upheavals and privatization processes of the early 1990s, the film raises the question of how people and communities deal with such asynchronies as they navigate between socialist and capitalist ruins and what forms of reflection and interaction emerge.

Maksim and Masha Kovalyov, who work in the Netherlands, decide to treat themselves and their parents to a holiday in Turkey. There, the Budko family realise that Yuri and Olga have separated, but they are carefully hiding this from their children and in-laws. A special operation to save the Kovalyovs’ marriage begins. It unfolds in Crimea, where both families travel to follow Zhenya, who has been sent by her parents on holiday to ‘Artek’. Upon arrival, the Budkos realise that Crimea is not a cheap place and suggest to the Kovalyovs that they open a hotel in the house provided for the in-laws by Maxim’s friend from abroad. The Kovalyovs, who were initially against the idea, eventually joined the ‘common cause’ with enthusiasm.
The Budko-Kovalyovs’ business adventures will bring them new friends and acquaintances, and force them to fend off a rival’s schemes and a gangster ‘raid’. The families will manage to successfully host Olya’s parents, who have come to visit their daughter and son-in-law on an inspection visit, and to weather the turbulent arrival and departure of the womaniser and card-sharp, who also happens to be their colleague, Yuri Anatolyevich San Sanych Berkovich. The matchmakers will also manage to help the wayward Mitya and the shrewish Larisa sort out their personal lives, overcome Valya’s insatiable passion for network marketing, outwit a seasoned ‘cat’ at the casino, and win an international hotel competition. And most importantly, to reconcile Olya and Yura.
