The almanac consists of short films that won an award at the Odessa International Film Festival.

The almanac consists of four short films: "Away", "Men's Work", "Rain in Manchester" and "The Nail".

"The Distance", dir. Catherine Gornostay (Best Actor Award for the National Competition Program of the 6th OIFF): "We will be with you until death separates us" - this is the answer to the question "By when?" And what about the other question - "How are we going to be?" Because when the love is over, it will be necessary to decide "how" and "how long." Young couple looking for answers to these questions.

"Men's Work", dir. Marina Stepanskaya (Duke for Best Ukrainian Short Film of the 6th OIFF): A 37-year-old lawyer works for a land acquisition company, sometimes on the verge of law. When he comes to check out the next object, he comes across an unfinished cathedral that stands, all but forgotten, in the middle of the field. The hero needs to solve two questions: what to do with the "object" in the interests of the Company, and how to negotiate a "non-support" with the farmer who actually owns the land.

"It was raining in Manchester", dir. Valeria Kalchenko and Antonio Lukic (Duke for Best Ukrainian Short Film of the 7th OIFF): When Andrew was 12, he had already hung out on a basketball ring. At 14, he did not fit into the photo. He is now 22, his height is 2 meters 7 centimeters, and if someone in the crowd shouts "Sleep", Andrew will surely turn. Andrew is a tall man. But tall does not mean big.

Nail, dir. Philip Sotnichenko (Duke for Best Ukrainian Short Film of the 7th OIFF): Valentina works as a lawyer at one of Liechtenstein's banks. It is responsible for liaison with Eastern Europe. Valya has a good memory of Ukrainian and Russian since childhood, since she lived in Kyiv until the age of 13. In the 96th, during a difficult transition period for the Ukrainian economy, Valentina, together with her mother and stepfather, emigrated to Switzerland. It's been 20 years.
