FLIC Film Festival to open with world premiere of Ukrainian sports drama "Pulse"

29 December 2020

The biographical sports drama "Pulse", based on the real story of Ukrainian champion Oksana Boturchuk, will be the opening film of the Flathead Lake International Cinemafest (FLIC) in Paulson, USA.

The film will be shown on January 29. It will be its world premiere.

"The premiere of Pulse at the American Film Festival has always been a dream for me, and I'm very happy that the dream has become a reality. I am very grateful to the organizers for the four nominations, especially in the category of best film and best director, and for the fact that our film opens the festival. It is a great honor for me to personally hold a Q&A session with the audiencecomments director Serhiy Chebotarenko.

The film was nominated at the film festival in 4 categories at once: best film, best director (Serhiy Chebotarenko), best actress (Natalia Babenko) and best actor (Stanislav Boklan).

FLIC will run from January 29 to 31, both offline and online. All events will take place live, but for those who prefer the virtual format, the films will be available for viewing on a special portal after all screenings are completed.

"Pulse" will be presented at the festival by director Serhiy Chebotarenko. After the show, he will also hold a Q&A session with the audience.

"We are extremely proud that" Pulse "became the opening film of the festival. So, we will not only compete in four nominations, but we will also be the first to show our picture to the audience”, says the producer of the film Yegor Olesov.

The premiere of the film "Pulse" in Ukraine was scheduled for March 19, 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed to 2021.
