The movie "Hudba. Kava. Vinylové canvases." created by the independent film studio DMFilmProduction, filmed in Kosice, in January this year.
The tape tells about people's hobbies, daily rituals and memories. Music, coffee and vinyl records are somehow present in our lives. Someone remembers the grandfather's stories when he was saving money to buy a vinyl record; someone teaches children to listen to music and someone drinks coffee to wake up. But what does "music," coffee, "vinyl" mean to all these characters?
"This time we went beyond Ukraine not only because of the festival life of our films, but also the film itself.
"Hudba. Kava. Vinylové canvases." - this is already becoming a franchise that we are creating (edit laughs). But now it's more like a remake of our movie "Music. Coffee. Vinyl." created in 2017.
This time I tried myself in a new role - the director. Yes, it is a wonderful experience, because before that I was a producer of our films, a co-writer, an assistant director and a 2-th cameraman. I was amazed because you have every right to change something, to add, to feel everything that is happening in the frame even more (laughs). Documentary requires a lot of concentration and a clear understanding of what you want to show. We do not work in fictional characters with fictional characters, like in a motion picture. Here it is important to find, feel your character's soul and show it, "- shares the impressions of the shooting of director and producer Milena Dobos.
"We have put together a very cool company of characters in our film. These are people who have a lot to say about their life and their hobbies. These are people who really cheer for their cause. For example, Andrew Kandrach (ed. Kandračovci), young Denniyah band from Kosice, TV presenter Milan Koltsun, founder of the first vinyl shop Peter Lenek, freestyle DJ 0073 and founder of an interesting coffee shop in the heart of Kosice, Michal Pisar "- said the director and cameraman Mikhail Dobosz.
