On February 24, a full-scale war began in Ukraine. Not only people but also animals became the hostages of this war. In peacetime, they could be taken care of, but it was almost impossible to save the animals during shelling, airstrikes, and occupation by enemy troops. In a panic, people abandoned their homes and closed their apartments with their pets. Shelters remained without communication, electricity, and water. Animals died from hunger, thirst, shell fragments, bullet wounds, and heart attacks during explosions. However, even during the war, some were able to save defenseless four-legged friends: these are shelter workers who lived with their wards for more than a month of occupation by russian troops, these are volunteers who took out half-alive dogs abandoned to certain death, this is an association of caring people who despite street battles and mined houses, they saved animals from the first days of the war and continue to do so.
This film shows how war destroys everything in its path, but thanks to the heroic actions of people who do not consider themselves heroes, they are given a chance for a new life despite death.
