Vira returns to her hometown after a difficult period in her life. She wants to start with a clean slate and get back the family home, which fell into the hands of relatives after her parents' death. However, the house turns out to be only part of a much bigger story, and with it, long-hidden family secrets return to her life.

At the same time, police captain Bohdan arrives in town, working undercover as a businessman. His goal is to find his father's real killer and uncover the truth that has been hidden for years. Their acquaintance marks the beginning of a story where romantic feelings intertwine with dangerous secrets, and a mysterious treasure from World War II could radically change the characters' destinies. The closer they get to the solution, the more obvious it becomes that some answers will come at too high a price.
