We'll rebuild!

90 minutes - Ukraine 2022

Genre Documentary

Director Kornіy Hricyuk

During the six months of the full-scale invasion, the enemy launched more than 17,000 strikes across Ukraine. Air, missile and artillery strikes scorched and destroyed entire cities, and with them the centuries-old history of the Ukrainian people and its architectural achievements.

Thanks to the film ""We'll Rebuild"", viewers around the world will be able to learn how the enemy destroys cultural heritage sites, schools, stadiums, youth hubs, cultural centers, libraries, museums, and churches. The project will tell the stories of 10 destroyed iconic buildings located in different parts of Ukraine, and their cultural and architectural value. The authors will show exactly when and how they were destroyed by an enemy neighbor. In addition, the authors of the project emphasize that despite the fact that Ukraine suffers from destruction every day, faith in its future and recovery after the war is unshakable.

The project will tell the story of 10 iconic buildings, including the House of Culture in Irpin, Antonov Airfield in Hostomel, the Stadium in Chernihiv, the Maria Prymachenko Museum in Ivankiv, the Skovoroda Museum in Skovorodynivka, Kharkiv region, and the 100-year-old Lysychansk Gymnasium, which is a nineteenth-century architectural monument and an example of the Belgian architectural heritage of Luhansk region.
