An employee of the German embassy returns from a business trip to his apartment earlier than planned.

He has no wife, she has a lover. The son, an 11-year-old boy, is under the supervision of a neighbor. Suddenly, his son had an attack of appendicitis, and he was taken to hospital. The wife's phone does not answer. The hero guesses where she may be, and goes to the restaurant. A young woman in her 30s sits next to him, whom he takes to be a prostitute. But in the end, the woman pours him a glass of sleeping pills and literally kidnaps our hero, taking him to his girlfriend's country house in a car stolen by her. In the morning, after waking up, the hero finds himself handcuffed to the gutter. Later, the motives for the woman's behavior are clarified. She has a seriously ill only child. Urgent expensive operation is required. At the clinic, she was told to wait in line or look for money for treatment abroad. And she doesn't want to wait. Her conditions are harsh – if her child is not sent abroad for treatment by evening, she will kill the hostage.

A middle-aged woman, Olena, is an investigator in the district center, and her ex-husband is the head of the district police department. They divorced after Elena found her husband in the arms of another woman. Parting was not easy, betrayal hurts. The relationship between the ex-husband and wife is quite tense, infrequent, but sometimes necessary. Now Elena is raising her daughter Vika on her own.

After entering the university, the girl has to move to the city center and settle in a dormitory. Olena finds out that she is a serial maniac in the town, so she decides to go with her daughter, see how she gets along, and only then return home. However, everything is not going according to plan. The short-term trip ends with Olena being transferred to the district center, as far away from her ex-husband as possible.

The woman is determined to succeed. Using knowledge in the field of psychology, she successfully investigates cases. Thanks to hard work and high professionalism, she deserves the respect of new colleagues. However, there were intrigues in both work and personal relationships.

The film tells stories of survival in the ghetto and those who hid from the occupiers.

The heroes of the film now live in Kyiv, Dnipro and Odesa, where the filming took place. They survived and also witnessed the mass shootings that took place, according to researchers, in about five thousand locations across Ukraine. Each of the heroes lost loved ones. Parents, brothers, sisters, loved ones. Everyone had the only task in these terrible years - to survive. The whole mosaic of terrible memories collected in the film is part of the story of survival.

 The comic and dramatic series are based on the adventures of three ATO fighters that happen to them during their endless combat duties. The stories themselves are based on the real-life experiences of the soldiers of the volunteer battalions and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
