Yablunska Street is a documentary project about the "road of death" in Buch, which became a symbol of the atrocities of the Russian occupiers in Ukraine.
The basis of the film was the testimony of city residents who survived the occupation. After Bucha's release, horrific footage of Russian crimes spread around the world, the mass murders committed by the occupiers were immediately called the Bucha Massacre, and the international community began talking about the modern genocide of Ukrainians. According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, 637 bodies of civilians were found in the city, where less than 30,000 people lived before the war, including women, men, elderly people and even children. The largest number of victims was found on Yablunska Street, where innocent Ukrainians were shot - by the dozens.
The author of the Yablunska Street project, Alla Khotsyanivska, journalist of the Television News Service, sought out eyewitnesses to the events and heard the confessions of those who miraculously managed to survive, even after torture and shootings. The film team managed to document the stories of the occupation, the facts of the atrocities of the Russian military, as well as establish the names of not only the dead, but also those who were behind these terrible murders.
