Computer scientist Igor Zabutko feels like a fish out of water in the virtual world. His credo is “whoever owns the information owns the world”. Another character in the series is Kornienko's secretary, Asia Boiarchuk. She believes that women, thanks to their common sense and observation, are much better suited to detective investigations. So she is always ready to give advice on an ongoing investigation. Stanislav Sharmenko, the head of the prosecutor's office, is responsible for everything here, and the team is like a family to him. He walks into any office, says whatever he thinks, sometimes offends his interlocutors, but he is always right.

The characters are very different, each of them has their own ambitions, their own preferences and their own “cockroaches”. Their domestic and personal relationships are not easy at all, and there is room for jealousy, envy, and unrequited love. But for the sake of the common cause, everyone is ready to put aside personal matters, because they are one team.
