The stories of the soldiers of the Seventh Company of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after the Black Cossacks show how the Ukrainian nation is being hardened during the war. The series is based on documentary filming that took place over seven years — from 2017 at Zenit in Avdiivka to Vuhledar in 2023.

The seven episodes of the documentary series show the transformation that the film's protagonists go through, tell us what principles guide them, show the losses and joyful moments of their lives, introduce us to fighters of different nationalities who stood up to defend Ukraine, and talk about how the enemy has been stealing Ukraine's history, language, and culture for more than 300 years.
