The new head of the forensic laboratory of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Andriy Makarov is a real special. He is smart, has a brilliant education and is extremely attentive to detail. It is often thanks to Makarov's attention to detail and his unconventional conclusions that the most complex crimes are revealed.

Makarov and his expert group work closely with Bohdana Kowalska, an investigator with the Interior Ministry. They understand each other half-heartedly, but their relationship is not always cloudless. Andrew and Bogdan could become a couple in real life, but now neither of them is ready to open a new feeling.

Andrew is an incorrigible cynic and misanthrope, so his relations with colleagues are steadily strained. Our hero also has a skeleton in the closet. The reason for his return to the organs after his forced release was the death of his beloved sister. The crime remained unsolved - it was written off for ordinary robbery, but Makarov is sure - it was a premeditated murder. And now he is determined to find his sister's killer.
