Inspired by the creative methods of James Joyce and James Benning, the author of this documentary tried to reflect his life and cultural experience in a form that is the most characteristic of the present time – an absurdity.

An on-screen story where the main character is a stone.

The title of the film is derived from ancient Greek words: "amphibolos" (αμφίβολος), meaning ambiguous and/or deceptive, and "lithos" (λιτος), meaning stone.

Tape about present and memories, about death and life, about despair and happiness. About the Kiev crematorium and the Memorial Park at the Bajkovo Cemetery, which took 13 years of hard work and was eventually destroyed by Soviet power, and about the Dawn and Constellation mosaic pool in front of the Pioneers Palace. About the wonderful life of the artist Vladimir Melnichenko and about his endless love story with Ada Rybachuk. About their lifelong collaboration. That love is not face to face. Love is to look one way.

Ada passed away in 2010. But Vladimir still hears her voice and footsteps. He works in their workshop, arranging the archive, which will suffice for the whole museum. He creates new masterpieces. And he signs each new work with two names.
