Принципового і чесного начальника міського управління поліції, генерала Фірсова, його недруги підставляють під сфабриковане звинувачення у вбивстві на полюванні. Але несподівано для них, сплановану провокацію ламає провінційний дільничний капітан Микола Семашко, на дільниці якого стався злочин. Після зняття звинувачень, генерал пропонує енергійному провінціалу роботу в міському управлінні.
Семашко переїжджає до міста, де відразу виявляється між трьох вогнів. Його новий начальник, майор Кудима, з перших же днів намагається викинути зі свого затишного гніздечка незговірливого генеральського підкидька. Продажні високопоставлені чини, які планують, так чи інакше видавити з управління генерала Фірсова, раптово розуміють, що поки в управлінні Семашко, про ці плани можна забути. А в особистому житті Миколи вибухає буря. Оскільки у його нареченої Світлани і її батька, власника великого агрохолдингу, були на Семашко зовсім інші плани. Намагаючись повернути його в рідну провінцію то батогом, то пряником, Світлана і її батько, самі того не бажаючи, створюють Миколі серйозні проблеми.
Природжений талант слідчого дозволяє наполегливому капітану розкривати заплутані злочини, і його версії завжди виявляються самими вірними. Але постійно виникають, то в родині, то на роботі, складності, які ставлять Семашко іноді в смішні, але частіше в небезпечні ситуації. І якщо колись провінційний дільничний мріяв про цікаве і ненудне життя, то тепер дійсність перевершила його найсміливіші очікування.

The second season of the series Urban Romance.
The new heroine, the spectacular and intelligent Linda, begins to take action. She charms Anatoly Shmatov and asks him for information about his father, Roman Viktorovich Shmatov. Linda believes that Shmatov Sr. is responsible for the death of her family, and she seeks revenge.
