Adaptation of the memoirs of Vsevolod Nikolaevich "Memories from the Times of the Ukrainian Revolution (1917-1921)" about the revolutionary events in Ukraine of 1917-1918 and their participation in the regiment named after Kosh Gordianenko.
The first part of the film describes the events from the beginning of 1917 until the arrival of the Kostya Gordienko regiment formed as part of the 7th Turkestan Division of the 3rd Siberian Army Corps of the Russian Army in Ukraine. The second part is from the events of January-February 1918 in Kiev, when the regiment entered into an unequal battle with the Moscow-Bolshevik troops of Muravyov and until the return of the Central Rada to the Bolsheviks liberated from Kiev.
