The film tells the story of the life of an orphanage, where a new resident is brought – a boy Yurko (his role was very touchingly and convincingly played by 7-year-old Eugene Intelligator). Yurko misses his father very much, and dad finally comes to him one night in the body of a former pupil of this house – electrician Bohdan (actor Yaroslav Shakhtorin), who is the conductor of the souls of children's parents in this orphanage.

The film Alone is a cry of the soul, addressed primarily to all those who have ever lost a loved one. And especially to those children who have no one left. But at the same time, the film gives hope, because it tells not so much about the loss, but about the fact that even after death, our family remains with us, and will always support and protect us.

The film consists of 7 short stories. Each short story is a story based on real events, highlighting a particular aspect of the war: the heroism of the Ukrainian armed forces, the war crimes of the Russian Federation, the tragedy of a child whose family was killed by Russia…

The film pays special attention to the issue of collaboration of some foreign politicians and businessmen with the Russian aggressor. Many make concessions to Russian terrorists because of cheap Russian oil. Bloody oil.
