Based on the story of Bohdan Lepky "The Tale".
The film takes place in 1659, two years after the death of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, when his 18-year-old son Yuri removed from power Hetman Vyhovsky. Supporters of Bohdan Khmelnytsky are trying to help his daughter Elena save the Kleinodes, symbols of the Hetman's power and independence of Ukraine. The film's heroes have had many trials in the fight for priceless relics.
