A film about Ihor Kirilchatenko, a volunteer, veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, actor, and director from Dnipro, known by his pseudonym Artist.
After being wounded and suffering from depression, the man found the strength to return to life through creativity and founded the independent patriotic theatre Art Front – a space for healing, recovery and the search for meaning for veterans.
The film centres on the creation of the play Loud Silence of War, dedicated to soldiers who lost their hearing during combat. It is an inclusive cathartic performance that combines theatre, poetry, pantomime, modern technology and video projections. It immerses the viewer in the world of a person who has survived concussion, their conversations with Death and Life, forcing them to see that war does not end where the explosions subside.
