Simon Petliura (1879-1926) is an amazing figure in history. He was born and studied in Poltava. The gifted young man plunged into the political movement at an early age. Lviv and Kyiv, Moscow and St Petersburg - this is where he spent his youth. He returned to Kyiv in 1917 with his wife and daughter.

How Petliura became one of the most prominent figures of the Ukrainian People's Republic.
