The story is based on the confrontation between two families, the Kutsivs and the Romanyuks, whose enmity goes back a long way. Their relationship is poisoned by old grievances, unresolved conflicts and the struggle for land. However, despite the enmity, sincere love emerges between the younger members of these families, Oksana and Maksym. Their feelings become a challenge to the age-old disputes, as they will not only have to overcome the enmity of their families, but also overcome numerous obstacles on the way to happiness.
