This is a chronological collection of the most important episodes of the Battle of Slovyansk.

The film uses archival videos and recorded interviews with key military and political leaders of Ukraine, who made major decisions during those turbulent times. These are Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, then acting President of the Verkhovna Rada, Oleksandr Turchynov, ex-President Petro Poroshenko, Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, NSU ex-commander Yuri Allerov, former Chief of Staff Viktor Muzhenko, ex-MP Dmytro Yarosh of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army. In addition to them, in each of the episodes there are characters who were directly involved in those dramatic, heroic and tragic events.
