Semen Soroka, Maria Sayenko, Christina Higer, Eleonora Koval, Anna Strizhkova and Ivan Trofimovich. These are children – living witnesses to the war of 1939-1945.
Anna knows neither her birth date nor her real name, the others have lost their family and childhood, but they are all bound by one thing: they survived the terrible war – in death camps, ghettos, and captivity.
They were tortured, murdered by fascists, exterminated by police officers, branded, tortured in detention camps, humiliated by the KGB. They survived the terrible years of occupation, famine, and they suffered incredible suffering in the aftermath of the war. But no matter what, they survived and became children of victory.
