Dmitry Saranskov was born on August 28, 1978 in Odessa into a family of a Soviet officer. 

Throughout his studies at the gymnasium, he studied at the theater studio and was one of the leading actors of the youth theater "Yunost". It was there that Dmitry first experienced  the role of being a Film Director.

He made his film debut in 1998 in Giuseppe Tornatore's “The Legend of the Pianist” (“Legend of 1900”). 

In 2000 Dmitry graduated from Odessa State Medical University with a degree in Dentistry. After that he worked as a dentist for 15 years.

In his student years he was a member of the KVN team (Club of the Merry and Witty, a humour show).In addition, during his studies at the university he worked as a Broadcast Announcer on the radio "FIL", where he led the author project "Pulp Fiction". He was a Broadcaster, Director and Reporter in the Odessa Tele Radio Company "MOST", where he also led the author project "History" about extraordinary people and their life stories. He was a Reporter for the TV service "Hot NEWS".

Simultaneously with this, Dmitry took an active part in all projects of the film company "Mark & ​​Peter" as an actor, 1st Assistant Director and Casting Director. He dedicated more than 15 years of his professional activity to the recording studio Audioreklama.com. In parallel, he also worked at “DUKЕ FM” and “Kalambur”.

Thanks to his excellent command of his voice, Dmitry voiced advertising commercials, educational and information products, dubbed feature films and documentaries.

Since 2014, he has served at the Theater on Nezhinskaya Street, Odessa. And in 2015 he first appeared on the stage of the Odessa Russian Drama Theater in the main role.

In 2015 he moved to Kiev and entered the Kiev National University of Theater, Film and Television named after I.K. Karpenko-Kary. In 2019 he received a Diploma in Film and Television Direction and continued his studies graduating with a master's degree in Audio and Visual Arts with an emphasis in producing.
