Butok Viktor was born on December 5, 1971 in Kiev.

He graduated from the Kiev National University of Culture and Art in 2000 with honors, specialty "Stage production and public holidays."

He also took the “Director's Course” at the Ukrainian Film School in 2016-2017.

From 2002 to 2007 he worked at the First National Director, Senior Editor.

Since 2007 - freelance, work with various productions.

He was a co-organizer of the Production Center “101”, the production studio “Line101”, the founder of the production studio “VDfilms”.

Since 2015, he has been making short films that have taken part in many national and international film festivals.
