Born on August 16, 1992 in Kyiv. After school she entered the Kiev National University of Theater, Cinema and Television named after IK. Karpenko Kary on the faculty of directing in the studio of Vasily Viter. Since 2012 he has been the curator of the film program at the GOGOLFEST festival. From 2014 to 2017, he is the program director of GOGOLFEST cinema. In 2015, Valeria founded the public organization " Contemporary Ukrainian Cinema" (CUC), which aims to promote Ukrainian cinema. In 2016 he is the curator of the IFF film program Intermezzo and IFSM Porto Franko. Valery Sochivets's works, as producer and director, have repeatedly participated and received awards in the competition programs of leading Ukrainian and international festivals.
