Yaroslav Kucherenko was born and raised in Kyiv.

First degree is Bachelor of Economics. But after that, he decided to become an actor and went to London and graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts Acting School in 2012. He also graduated from the Acting School of Kirill Mikhanovsky, a winner of the Cannes Film Festival. He also listened to an actor training at Ivanna Chubbak, a world-renowned actor educator.

He has appeared in numerous  television series, TV shows, and commercials. He is currently working on a movie about Leonid Berenstein, https://www.berenshtein.com, in which he plays the lead role. The film is being shot by the Israeli-American team, but filming is ongoing in Ukraine, starting from 2017. The film was screened at the 2019 Cannes Festival, where it was very well received by producers around the world. Filming and post-production will be completed in 2020. The film will be seen by the festival community in late 2020 or in 2021.
