Evil powers, werewolves and thieves against an unusual trio - a 10-year-old boy, a warrior and a tiger. Who will win in the fight between good and evil? The creators of the fantasy film "The Legends of Charivolissia" presented the first official teaser.
It so happened that the harsh Warrior (Sergey Strelnikov) and the hilarious Molfar (Vasily Bendas) became the guards of the cheeky boy Marek (Alexey Smorigin). And now this diverse company will not only have to find a common language, but in order to save the world of Chernobyl, to confront the most powerful forces of evil, led by Black Witch (Dmitry Malashenko) and Vovkulaka (Ruslan Miroshnichenko).
“A warrior is a real man of war who, moreover, has been severely betrayed by Poverty Wolves. The conflict between these characters is constant and will run through the whole film, says director Viktor Andrienko. - And yet a Warrior is a cynic who does not believe in anything, but so happens that he twice saves the life of the boy Marek. Throughout the film, they get into fun and dangerous adventures that change both: Marek grows up and becomes manly, and in Warrior kindness and humanity awakens. "
In 2019, the project "Legends of Charinolissia" received a grant from UKF for partial development and creation of a 10-minute part of the film.
"Filming lasted about a month and took place at various venues of Kyiv region - Pirogovo, Holosiivskyi Park, in a field near the village of Makariv," says the film's producer Andrei Kornienko. - The best specialists of their business were involved in the work. The director and co-writer was Victor Andrienko, who is well-versed in the production of children's films. The cameraman is Dmitry Nedrya (Fox and Max film, Sex and nothing personal, Izy). Famous Ukrainian cinema designer Konstantin Kravets and makeup artist in Hollywood, Julia Melnyk, worked on the creation of fairy tales. For the special effects was responsible for the well-known in the movie business VFX partner - Mental Drive under the direction of Alexei Moskalenko. Some of the best stuntmen in Ukraine who create complex stunt scenes - XGST Stunt - took part in the shoot.
The project was also the winner of the 11 Derzhkino Pitching, and the government has recently signed an agreement to support the creation of the movie "Legends of the Woodlands", which will begin shooting in the spring of 2020. The release is planned for 2021.

"Legends of Charivolissia" is an adventure film for children, the story of which is based on historical folk tales and myths of Ukrainian folklore. The script of the film is a film adaptation of the book of the same name by Elena Shulga and Viktor Andrienko by the Kapranov Brothers Publishing House.
However, this is not just a children's fairy tale. It is a story of good and evil, of love and hate, after all, of life and death. But first of all, it's the story of true friendship.
The protagonist of the movie is 10-year-old Marek, a boy-boy and an orphan. He is arrogant and stubborn but noble, kind and generous. Marek's birth is associated with a dark mystery, through which he will have to confront the incredibly evil, dangerous and treacherous mythical creatures. Fortunately, the boys will come to the rescue: a mysterious and austere Warrior, a kind, the last of his tribe, a giant Brodnik, incredibly talkative, but a surprisingly cheerful Bazika molor and a warlike baby girl Olesya, with whom Marek will connect not only friendship, but also the first romance in his life. This diverse company will not only have to find a common language, but also go through a puzzling, enchanting adventure that will change not only the fate of all the characters, but also their characters.
The screenplay won the first prize of the International Literary Competition for Novels, Plays, Screenplays, Song Lyrics and Works for Children "Coronation of the Word". The film received a UKF grant for partial development and the creation of a 10-minute film. Also the project "Legends of Charinolissia" was the winner of 11 Derzhkino pitching.
The film is intended for family viewing.
