The International Press Academy, which awards the annual Satellite Awards, has announced a list of nominees.
The Best International Film category was a film produced in the joint production of Ukraine (with the support of the State Film Agency of Ukraine), the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia - Painted Bird.
It is a film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Jerzy Kosinski, which tells of the Holocaust tragedy and of a boy trying to survive, left alone after the death of his relatives. The world premiere of the film took place on September 2 as part of the main competition of the 76th Venice Film Festival.
Also in the nomination are ribbons from Senegal - "Atlantic", Russia - "Dilda", France - "Desolate" and "Portrait of a girl on fire", Spain - "Pain and glory", South Korea - "Parasites" and Estonia - "Truth and justice. "
Prize winners will be announced in February.
