Killian Murphy presented OIFF General Producer Yulia Sinkevich with an award for his contribution to the development of Ukrainian cinema

Director-General of the Odessa International Film Festival Yulia Sinkevich received an award for her contribution to the development of the Ukrainian film industry during the Subtitle: Spotlight European Film Festival, which took place from November 25 to December 1 in the Irish city of Kilkenny.

During the awards, the festival organizers noted that thanks to Yulia Sinkevich and her work, Ukrainian directors, actors and other film professionals became known in Europe, and their names on European cinema are becoming more and more common.

The famous actor Killian Murphy, who in 2012 was a guest of the OIFF, presented the prize to Julia. At the time, he was presenting a feature film, "Broken", directed by Rufus Noris. During the award, Murphy added that he remembers well his visit to Odessa, as well as being familiar with Ukrainian films.

In addition, the festival celebrated Ukrainian actor Darya Polunin. She won the Newcomers Award for Best Young Actress.

This year's SUBTITLE European Film Festival is a popular film festival for popular European films. The festival is held annually in Kilkenny, Ireland. This year's program featured 25 films, most of which have not been shown in Ireland. Among them are the ribbons that were on the 10th OIFF. In particular, the winner of the Grand Prix "And then we danced", the film-opening "Beautiful Epoch", the picture "Portrait of a girl on fire", as well as the Ukrainian comedy "My Thoughts is Quiet", which won the Audience Award at OIFF 2019.
