Maxim Xionda's debut feature film "The Robot and the Energy of the Universe" was selected for the competition program of the children's film section at the International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg.
The Mannheim International Film Festival is one of the oldest in the world and the second oldest in Germany. Over the past 60 years, it has become a true cinema forum for films with unique handwriting - author cinema.
Throughout its long history, the festival has become a staging ground for such well-known directors as Jim Jarmusch, Thomas Winterberg, Brian Singer, Atom Egoyan, Francois Truffaut, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, He Wenders, Krzysztof Keslowski, Lars von Trier and others.
The Bobot and the Energy of the Universe, produced by MentalDrive at the request of the State Film Agency, will compete with 11 other films.
The festival will be held from 14 to 24 November in the German city of Mannheim.
