The short film "Christmas Stories" by directors Valery Sochivets and Philip Sotnichenko was selected to participate in the competition at the Class A - PÖFF Shorts - Black Nights International Film Festival. The film was also nominated for a Film Critics Award, the announcement of the winners of which will take place during the Third Kiev Criticism Week.
PÖFF Shorts is one of the programs of the annual Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn, which takes place from November 15 to December 1 this year. The screening in the capital of Estonia will be the international premiere for the "Christmas Stories". Two years ago, Philip Sotnichenko's short debut "Technical Break" won this festival in the competition of international short films.
"Christmas Stories" is a movie about a non-standard hobby for girls during the Christmas holidays. The producers of the tape were Elmira Asadova and Olga Reiter. The film was made by Contemporary Ukrainian Cinema with the support of the Lviv Film Commission and LG Ukraine.
