The Days of Ukrainian Cinema will begin in the Lithuanian capital on October 22
The press service of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania reports.
"The Days of Ukrainian Cinema will start in Vilnius at the Vilnius Cinema Center on October 22-24, 2019. The festival will be held in Lithuania for the second time," the message reads.
Days of Ukrainian Cinema will open the premiere screening of Toloka, one of the most anticipated Ukrainian films of the last decade. The film is presented by a representative of the famous Ukrainian film industry director Mikhail Illenko - an actor, board member of the Ukrainian Film Academy.
The Ukrainian delegation will also include director of the movie "Myth" Ivan Yasniy, first deputy director of the Kyiv Cinema Film Network Larisa Zubenko, coordinator of national and international projects of the Kyiv Cinema Film Network Elena Babiy.
The program features four feature films, including a documentary film Myth directed by Leonid Kanter and Ivan Yasni, a picture by Yaroslav Lodygin "Wild Field" - an adaptation of the novel by cult Ukrainian writer Sergiy Zhadan, a popular Ukrainian comedy "Mad Wedding," and director Vlad Dyak. short films of the "Everything begins in Kiev" almanac.
On Tuesday, October 22, a round table will be held within the project at the Embassy of Ukraine in Lithuania - a meeting of Lithuanian and Ukrainian cinematographers. Within the framework of the event it is planned to discuss cooperation between Ukraine and Lithuania in the direction of popularization of national cinematography both at home and abroad.

It is noted that this year the Days of Ukrainian Cinema will also be held in Varna on October 25-26. The audience will be shown a film by Yuri Illenko's The White Bird with a Black Feature starring the legendary Bohdan Stupka, Ivan Mykolaichuk and Larisa Kadochnikova in the lead roles, and a picture by Mikhail Illenko "Toloka".
The Embassy of Ukraine in Lithuania invites everyone to the Ukrainian Cinema Day.
