The Wiz-Art Film Festival will present two Ukrainian film programs at the 38th International Short Film Festival in Uppsala, Sweden
The press service of Goskino reports about it.
"Programs titled" UKRAINE STAY AWESOME "and" UKRAINE STAY AWAY "will be viewable by viewers on October 24, 26 and 27 at FYRIS and GRAND cinemas," the message reads.
According to program curator Olga Reiter, Wiz-Art program director, the presented programs draw attention to the contradictory emotions that almost every Ukrainian or Ukrainian is experiencing: “The first is a pleasure from the authenticity of what Ukraine is today, especially in the challenges of historical moments. The second is irritation from the logical, but in its own way attractive, strange and chaotic. ”
The UKRAINE STAY REAL program is built as a chronology of events and motives. It begins with a watershed moment in Ukraine's modern history - the Dignity Revolution - and ends with a techno party five years later. UKRAINE STAY WEIRD is a journey into the subconscious, the traumas of individuals that affect our society. Together, these programs form a subjective but vocal opinion.
UKRAINE STAY REAL presents films: “Faces”, Nikon Romanchenko, 2014; Diorama, Tatiana Korneeva, Zoya Laktionova, 2018; “In Joy and Only in Joy”, Marina Roshchina, 2018 (created with the support of Derzhkino); “Documenting Cxem”, Yarema & Himey, 2019; "Love", Nikita Lyskov, 2019 (created with the support of Derzhkino).
In the UKRAINE STAY WEIRD program: The weightlifter, Dmitry Sukholitsky-Sobchuk, 2018 (created with the support of Derzhkino); “Girl, Boy and Secret” by Oksana Kazmina, 2019; “Sensiz | Without You, ”Nariman Aliyev, 2015; Leninopad, Svitlana Shimko, 2017; “Mia Donna”, Pavel Ostrykov, 2018.
