On September 18, a press conference and party on the occasion of the premiere of the Ukrainian family fiction film Foxter & Max took place at the Oscar-winning Metropolitan Cinema. The picture was created with the support of the State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema and from today it can be viewed in cinemas.

The creators shared the secrets of creating the film and told about the future of the fantasy genre in the Ukrainian film industry. After the press conference, a grand party was held - the star of the evening was Foxx superpower.

Media representatives were the first to review the tape and speak in person with the filmmaking team.

Director Anatoliy Mateshko and co-writer and actress of the film Anastasia Mateshko told the story of the script and the filming.

"The idea belonged to my son, who was 11 at the time, and he dreamed of a dog. He was also fond of comic books and modern gadgets. Once we painted a dog with him on the fence, we really wanted him to materialize. When we already had a dog watching our son establish relationships with him, we had an idea to make a movie, ”Anastasia Mateshko said.

“Anastasia had a dramatic local story about a young hero-artist. But they wanted to make a more modern youth ribbon with elements of street art and action. Invited Canadian screenwriter Scott Parisien. It was very interesting with him, because he made our story more universal, and I think we can count not only on the Ukrainian audience, ”Anatoliy Mateshko said.

The film was produced with the support of the State Film Agency of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Cultural Fund. The paintings are distributed by MMD UA and FILM.UA Distribution. The total budget of the tape is UAH 51.5 million, of which UAH 37.9 million was provided by the State Committee.

"This movie is our answer to Hollywood. There are currently very few specialists in the market who can produce such tapes in large numbers. But the Ukrainian film industry is moving in this direction and is doing so successfully. I want to thank the creators again for this movie. Because I was very pleased to see it, "- said Acting. Sergey Neretin, the chairman of Derzhkino.

The producers of the film also spoke about the features of the plot, the selection of actors and the difficulties they encountered during the post-production.

“If there are kids and dogs in the shot, then a good story needs to be added to make a good movie. That's all. You need to come up with a story that captures both children and parents. I think our group succeeded and we were able to convey everything we wanted on screen. Not to say it was easy, but we all believed in the result and wanted to create a good good ribbon. The main mission of our film is to form a young Ukrainian viewer. After all, cinema has to grow with its viewers, ”- said the producer of the film Kateryna Kopilova.

“First of all, we really wanted to make an easy movie that would be of interest to children and the general public. Post-production was one of the hardest steps in making a movie. Because everything you see - we did almost the first time. To make an animated realistic dog that looks good and fits harmoniously into the frame - no one in the industry did this to us. We are grateful to Derzhkino for believing and financing the film, as well as to the Ukrainian Cultural Fund for helping to make it better and partially financing the promotional company, which will allow us to bring information about the film to the Ukrainian viewer, ”said the producer Maxim Assadchy.

The protagonist of the film, the boy Max, is played by young actor Bogdan Koziy. This is his first role in a feature film. Another young actress, Vitaly Turchin, also played in the movie, who played Sonya, Max's classmate. The actors shared their memories from the set.

“We all became friends in the trials and also when we were stunts. So everything was easy and fun on the court, ”said Bogdan Koziy.

"Before filming we had many rehearsals with the director, we discussed a lot of scenes: how to play properly, how to express emotion. It is a very valuable experience for me, ”Vitaly Turchin said.

The party was attended by Polish actor Tomasz Oswiecki, who played Myron's main thief. As Anatoly Mateshko said: “Tomasz is the charisma and atmosphere of our film. Even when he plays absolute evil, he still leaves the audience with a chance to smile. "

Foxster & Max is a unique movie that we loved from the very first material. Finally, our kids will have their own superhero, the Foxster nanobot. I can say with confidence that there was no such level of 3D graphics in Ukrainian cinema. We very much believe in the success of this film, where every viewer will find something interesting for themselves, ”said Roman Martynenko, MMD UA head.

“There is so much work, love and inspiration put into the film that it is doomed to succeed! We are confident that Foxster & Max will become one of the most beloved family films of the Ukrainian audience, ”commented Nadezhda Korotushka, Head of Cinema Distribution at FILM.UA Distribution.

Not only Foxster & Max creators, but also well-known artists, singers, TV presenters, were able to meet at the party. The star of the evening was the film actor - Fox terrier Amadeus, the lead role of the dog-superhero Foxster. A real surprise for his guests was his dance number.

Foxster & Max has been on sale in all Ukrainian cinemas since September 19. This is a Ukrainian family fantasy movie about the adventures of a boy and a dog-superhero. According to the plot, schoolboy Max finds a can of nano-paint and draws a picture of a dog. Unexpectedly drawn graffiti guy comes to life and turns into a nanorobot dog with super powers.
