Cinematographer Vyacheslav Tsvetkov will head the jury of the KINOKO Cinematography Festival, which will take place from October 1 to 5 at the Kyiv Cinema House. The full jury will be announced later on the festival's social networks.
“Vyacheslav Tsvetkov is one of the most interesting Ukrainian cinematographers. It seems to me that he has found a great balance in documentary film. The visual language proposed by him is not only an important cinematographic solution, but also fully works in synergy with the director's idea. Vyacheslav Tsvetkov was born in Ukrainka, Kyiv region. He studied at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, majoring in cinematography and television, graduated in 2011. Famous projects as a cinematographer: "This rain will never end" directed by Alina Gorlova, "The land is blue like an orange" directed by Ira "Gate" directed by Volodymyr Tykhy, "Parthenon (Stasis)" directed by Mantas Kvedaravičius and others.
In 2021 he received the Prize of the International Association of Documentaries (IDA) for Best Cinematography for the film "The Blue Earth Like an Orange" directed by Irina Tsilyk.
An educational event with the participation of Vyacheslav will take place during the KINOKO festival: "The language of the image as the driving force of history: DOP Slava Tsvetkov". It will take place on October 3 at 6:30 p.m.
This year's KINOKO cinematography festival will take place from October 1 to 5, 2021 at the Kyiv Cinema House. The event will be supported by the State Agency for Cinema and the festival's partners. A detailed schedule of impressions will be announced soon.
