On August 24, the European Film Academy released qualifying lists of feature films and documentaries that have qualified and are nominated for the annual European Film Awards.
The list of feature films consists of 40 titles and, as noted on the EFA website, is the first part. Additionally, in September, the organization will announce a second list. At the moment, there are no Ukrainian or co-produced films in it.
At the same time, the selection committee of the award approved a list of 15 feature-length documentaries that will be considered to determine the nominees in the category "Best European Documentary". Among the announced works are two shot in co-production with Ukraine - "Babyn Yar. Context” by Serhiy Loznytsia, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, and “This Rain Will Never End” by Alina Gorlova, who won her debut section at last year's IDFA Film Festival.
