On August 21, the closing ceremony of the 12th Odessa International Film Festival took place on the Potemkin Stairs in the open air in Odessa. Yanina Sokolova and Oleg Panyuta hosted the closing ceremony.
The closing film of the 12th OIFF was the 100-year-old film "Baby" by Charlie Chaplin. The show was free, accompanied by the Odessa Symphony Orchestra.
This year's OIFF was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, so its only competition program was the National Competition, the winners of which received awards for best film, best director and best acting.

The day before, on August 20, the Odessa Film Festival also named the winners of the Film Pitching, which took place as part of the professional section of the Film Industry Office. The pitching was attended by Ukrainian or co-production films planned for theatrical or festival rental in the near future.
The award ceremony took place on August 20 at the London Hotel.
The first place, according to the jury, was taken by the project of the film "Faith" directed by Marina Stepanskaya (producers - Natalia Libet, Vitaly Sheremetyev. The film team received 60 thousand UAH from the general media partner of OIFF TV channel "Ukraine".
Second place went to the film "Demons" by Natalka Vorozhbyt (producer - Dmitry Minzyanov), which received 30 thousand UAH from the official partner of the OIFF izibank.
Third place - in the Ukrainian-German film "Vacuum" by Elizabeth Smith (producers - Alexander Kostin, Alina Gorlova). The film team received UAH 25,000 from the OIF.tv media partner oll.tv.
The jury awarded a special award to the Ukrainian-Israeli project "House" directed by Or Sinai (producers - Volodymyr Yatsenko, Adi Bar Yosef, Anna Sobolevska).
