The 9th Truskavets International Film Festival "Crown of the Carpathians" took place on June 24-27. About 40 Ukrainian films competed for the main award - the Golden Crown, 12 of them feature films.
The Grand Prix of the festival was won by the film "Toloka" directed by Mykhailo Ilyenko.
Actress Maryna Koshkina, who starred in the film "Forgotten" directed by Daria Onishchenko, was awarded for the best female role.
Actor Yevhen Lamakh was awarded for the best male role for the film "Cherkasy" directed by Timur Yashchenko.
The winner in the nomination "Best Screenplay" was Oleg Sentsov for the film "Numbers".
Volodymyr Tykhy received the prize for the best director for the film "Our Cats".
A special prize of the jury "For the search for a socially significant topic" was awarded to Valentin Vasyanovich, director of the film "Atlantis".
Oksana Voitenko's film "Storage" won the short film and diploma competition at the Golden Crown festival.

The 9th Truskavets International Film Festival "Crown of the Carpathians" was to take place from 12 to 15 November 2020, but the event was postponed due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation, according to the festival's website. The film festival was supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, the State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema, the Department of Culture of the Lviv Regional State Administration and the Truskavets City Council.
