A solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the 50th anniversary Kyiv International Film Festival "Molodist" took place in the open-air cinema near the Arch of Friendship of Peoples on June 5.
The jury announced the best films of the competition programs, and the guests of the Ceremony watched the trailers of the tapes and listened to the performances of the invited musicians - the folk quartet DakhaBrakha and the singer and bandura player KRUT. The ceremony was conducted by theater and film actress Irma Vitovska and TV presenter of "Breakfast with 1 + 1" Yegor Gordeyev.
The Grand Prix of the film festival was awarded to the film "Becoming a Mono" by Dutch directors Sabine Lubbe Bakker and Niels van Kuvorden. It is a three-part tragicomic film about a woman named Mona, who tries to free herself from the limitations of life lived to please other people.
Alina Panasenko's film "20-11-7.mp4" won the national competition, which tells about an attempt to find a common language between father and son during the first joint dinner in a long time.
The winner of the Boat Meeting was the Ukrainian project "Kira's Dream" - it received $ 10,000 for post-production services.
The winner of the first Serial Pitching was the We Divide project, which received a $ 25,000 teaser, promo and media support.
This year the festival was held from May 29 to June 6 in a hybrid format.
